Remembering horrific tragedy in Nagaland

Nagaland was subjected to a careless tragedy on December 4 where around 15 civilians were gunned down by the Indian Army - ostensibly as a case of mistaken identity! News in the Goa press emerged on December 6. Strangely, AAP’s Kejriwal was in Goa and did not mention anything. Instead, he tried to call the Old Goa agitation as a new revolution! And the Goan TMC Vice President and Rajya Sabha member? Did he utter anything in the RS or press? Recall, he was formerly the Congress in charge of Northeast including Nagaland. TMC is hoping to cash on his experience in the coming elections but are silent on anything done by the BJP.

How much of a tragedy was the Nagaland incident? Many of the residents take up extra work at the coal mines to augment income during the Christmas season. Included amongst the victims was a man married just nine days back and a father of a 2-month-old baby! They were actually singing when they were shot. Is the National Democratic Alliance so pathetic that people spend their honeymoon time working extra shifts in coal mines? Goans need to compile their own dossier of candidates.
