Robust steps needed to handle brazen thefts

News of a failed burglary attempt at a highly reputed bank in Cancona is once again an eye opener for being alert in one's vicinity. According to sources from newspaper outlets, the high profile burglars went to the extent of using 2 gelatin sticks to blasts the wall of the strong storage room in the bank. Reportedly, there were 2 blasts and it created a huge hole in the building. However, their high profile plan was disrupted by the awakening of the villagers in the locality. Some robust measures needed to stop such burglaries. Eyebrows were raised as deadly techniques were used for committing thefts. However, there is a growing demand for security to be gradually increased at prominent places wherein important institutions such as banks/hospitals/religious worship places/schools etc exist. The migrants whereabouts/details needs to be scrutinized frequently. Random CCTV checks can work wonders to get some clue before hand. Subsequently, any suspicious activity noticed, then it should be instantly notified. Eventually, considering the prevailing circumstances, ongoing efforts to evaluate our surroundings can definitely prove beneficial for the welfare of our society.

Section 17(2) of the Goa Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act, 1974 allows the Chief Town Planner to make changes to the Regional Plan 2021 without public consultation.
