Rush hour safety

Mumbai, known as the financial capital of India, has always been overcrowded, with people coming here in large numbers for work”like birds flocking to a feeding ground. The city offers many job opportunities for both freshers and experienced professionals.

However, travelling in Mumbai’s local trains is a daily challenge, especially during peak hours in the morning and evening. Trains are packed, and office-goers struggle to reach on time while ensuring their safety.

Every day, we see people dangerously hanging from train doors or riding on footboards. This puts their lives at serious risk. A recent tragic accident, where several passengers lost their lives while travelling in such a way, has highlighted the urgency of the issue.

We must take steps to reduce such incidents. Introducing automatic doors, regular checks during rush hours, safety campaigns on social media, and clear warning signs can help. More importantly, the public must also be alert and act responsibly while using local trains.
