The Jabalpur High Court on Wednesday has ordered the registration of an FIR against Madhya Pradesh minister Vijay Shah of the BJP for passing "scurrilous" remarks and using "language of the gutters" against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, who was a prominent face of the armed forces along with Wing Commander Vyomika Singh during the recent media briefings on Operation Sindoor. A division bench of Justice Atul Sreedharan and Justice Anuradha Shukla on Wednesday initiated a suo motu case against Shah, calling his remarks against the Colonel “dangerous”. “His comments are dangerous as now they have started reaching the armed forces of this country,” Justice Sreedharan said. Well, if the same statement had come from any other party member or minister from a Congress ruled State then all the top BJP leaders would have created a big ruckus, taken out huge protests rallies everywhere, demanded the immediate sacking of the said Minister from the cabinet and would have even sought sedition charges against him. I think that the BJP leaders should first sack the above minister, if not get him arrested on sedition charges immediately.
