Apropos to the news report “Sushmita Dev says ‘Digital India’ big flop in Sanguem” (The Goan Everyday)
Goa’s beautiful and lush green Sanguem has undoubtedly received step motherly treatment with respect to development. It is heartening to see two women Shushmita Dev and Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik going all out to woo the voters of Sanguem while highlighting their hardships.
‘Digital India’ has merely remained a fancy phrase on paper for Sanguemkars whose young students cannot attend online classes owing to the poor mobile connectivity across Sanguem.
Goa TMC probable candidate Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik has been making all the right noises in the days leading up to the Goa Assembly Elections 2022.
She has been winning hearts and minds with her charismatic leadership and down to earth personality that show her desire and intent to serve the people of her constituency, if given a chance.
If Rakhi’s campaign trail is anything to go by, the wind of change is blowing in Sanguem. She comes across as someone who has got the killer instinct and won’t mind going for the kill to uproot decades of apathy, neglect and step motherly treatment meted out to Sanguem.
