As a proud Goan, it pains me deeply to witness the rapid transformation of our beloved, susegad Goa. The once mesmerizing and serene land of my childhood, filled with lush greenery, pristine beaches, and a rich cultural heritage, is now being swallowed by unchecked urbanization.
What was once a paradise of peace and harmony is slowly turning into a chaotic concrete jungle, where the voices of the common people are drowned out by the noise of relentless construction and commercialization.
Those in power, who were entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding our land and its people, seem to have forgotten their true purpose”to serve selflessly.
Instead, in the name of development and tourism, their focus appears to be skewed toward personal gains, catering to vested interests rather than the well-being of our beloved State.
Elected representatives should work for the people’s welfare, not against it. But one question lingers in my mind”are they truly doing so? I sincerely urge those in power to reflect on their actions and prioritize the interests of Goans. Let us reclaim Goa as a safe haven for our brothers and sisters once again.
