Schools have become target of hoax bomb threat

A reputed school at Sancoale reportedly received a hoax bomb call. The students and school staff were immediately evacuated. It created a tense moment among students, teachers, school staff and parents. After conducting a thorough search, authorities confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax, and no explosive materials were found. Despite the anxiety, the school management handled the situation calmly and efficiently, ensuring the safety of all students and staff while cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies.

It may be recalled that in 2014, panic gripped the students and staff of an educational institute in Vasco following a bomb scare. Some miscreants had pasted a note stating that a bomb had been planted in one of the classrooms of the institute, while one note was forwarded to the principal. It turned out to be a hoax bomb threat. Educational institutions are now being targeted with hoax bomb threats.

This can have a deep negative psychological impact on the students as well as the parents. Parents could be under tension every morning as their children leave for school. Those behind the latest bomb threat must be apprehended by tracing the source of the e-mail and the culprit brought to book. There should be zero tolerance towards such anti-social activity as it disturbs everyday life.
