Meaningful consultations should be immediately started taking into confidence the various NGOs that are fighting for scrapping of the three linear projects.
Senior luminaries of the parties can become guiding factors. Now is the opportunity for a secular alliance when the popular discontent against the BJP is at its utmost.
Secular Hindus, Catholics, Muslims and migrants should join the bandwagon and begin meaningful dialogue in order to form a common manifesto incorporating suggestions of all the alliance partners for the greater good of the Goans.
A very clear cut sworn pledge has to be affirmed that defectors will stand disqualified and barred from politics for ten years. If such a coalition does not form, then splitting of votes amongst these parties if they contest among each other will lead to the state of affairs in which we are now in.
A common agenda of Opposition parties is a must to defeat the BJP and lead to good governance of Goa, in the interests of the people of Goa, which is lacking at present.
