Jesus summarised the 10 commandments in just two commandments: Love your god and love your neighbour. And who is my neighbour? The poor people and the poor nations are my neighbours. In the last 50 years or so, we have become very materialistic and care little about the welfare of others. Covid-19 is a cry for course correction. The virus calls for strong reinforcement of the 2nd most important commandment, viz Love your neighbour. We must share our wealth. Big pharma companies are literally making a killing. They must share their vaccine patents so that the doses are made available to all poor nations.
Boosters jabs will not help much. The virus will keep mutating and keep appearing as a new variant. And, significantly, the variants will appear in poor countries. Ultimately boosters will not eradicate the virus. Love will.
