Stop beef politics & address stray dog menace

The BJP government and the Goa Police seem to be targeting beef suppliers, which indirectly affects those who eat beef in Goa. The same government has not been able to properly ban tobacco, plastic bags, drugs, or the Matka gambling business, but they continue to focus only on beef-related issues.

Every person has the right to choose what they want to eat. You cannot expect a tiger or lion ” the kings of the jungle ” to eat grass and become vegetarians. Recently in Goa, surgeries on cows revealed over 20 kg of plastic inside their stomachs. Stray cattle are left to roam the streets, eating plastic and garbage, and dying as a result. Yet the government seems more concerned about targeting beef eaters than addressing the real issue of animal welfare.

At the same time, stray dogs are attacking people walking or riding two-wheelers. Several have been injured or even killed, but the government has done little to make Goa safer. Dogs are man’s best friend, but they must be cared for at home ” not left on the streets to harm innocent people.
