First of all, we Goans are not bhumiputra. We Goans are Goenche put ani duvo. We have built our homes not on illegal comunidade or private Land. Our elders and we are staying in our houses before the Portuguese rule. This Bhumiputra Adhikarni Bill is a total mockery of law and a very dishonest attempt on the part of BJP government to mislead and fool Goans. All we can say is it's not a Bhumiputra bill but a ‘Migrantputra bill’. The mastermind of this bill is the MLA of Dabolim and the CM who win the elections with the help of this bhumiputra, also the Congress MLAs who are silent on this issue benefit from this bill because they are the ones who brought slums to Goa. Looking at the present situation I remember the Konkani songs of the 80s , by our late M. Boyer. He had warned Goans well in advance through these songs, 'Bailo lok Goenkar zata ' and ‘Sambhav ghor Goemchem’. Hope our Goa State government does not destroy our identity by going forward with the Bhumiputra Bill.
