PANAJI: Joaquim João Fernandes popularly known as Jaju, a talented actor and singer of the tiatr stage left for his heavenly abode on Tuesday, on the way to the hospital after suffering a massive heart attack.
Hailing from Benaulim, Jaju was born on September 29 and started his career in the field of Tiatr at a very young age. He stepped on to the professional stage in 1980 in his brothers Roseferns non-stop drama ‘Thapott’.
Jaju has acted and sung in more than 125 Tiatrs/Khell-Tiatrs directed by well-known directors namely Roseferns, Comedian Agostinho, Pascoal Rodrigues, Simon Gonsalves, Tony Dias among others.
On behalf of all the tiatr fraternity and tiatr lovers, Tiatr Academy of Goa condoles the death of this great tiatr personality and expresses its heart felt sympathies to his bereaved family and pray that the Almighty may grant his soul eternal peace.
