Regarding the recent laddu controversy, the SC directed that politics should be kept out of faith, the judges emphatically stated that there was nothing prima facie to prove that adulterated ghee was used in making the Tirupati laddus. First the sample tested by the laboratory was from ghee which was rejected by the temple committee itself, no sample of 'laddu' was tested. Secondly the purported lab report was by way of an unsigned last page annexure with no name or seal of the testing agency visible. The document itself has disclaimers, has no mention of 'animal fat' anywhere and also clearly mentions that the ghee tested was not used for preparing the laddus. The court also castigated CM Chandrababu Naidu for going public with his inflammatory statement hurting the sentiments of Hindus worldwide when the supposed 'contamination' angle was already under investigation by the state government. I am sure that this whole plan with malafide intent was hatched by the BJP and it's ally to gather Hindu votes for the upcoming assembly elections in various states, luckily for the country it backfired on them.
