Benaulim should be renamed to ‘Bowbowlim’ considering the number of stray dogs seen right from the beach to Maria Hall, to Colva Road and the Varca Road. The matter has been worsened by bleeding-heart dog lovers who pick any random location to feed the canines.
Cases of dog bites have already been reported, many quite serious. If these ‘dog parents’ are so concerned about strays, I request them to take the creatures home, feed them, vaccinate them and care for them. That will benefit both the dogs as well as beach/road users.
