Billing himself as ‘man of peace’, Trump is supporting Israel’s aggression with financial help and arms to embark on a destructive adventure that can set the Middle East alight. As expected, India has abstained again on a General Assembly resolution critical of Israel, suggesting efforts to find a solution based on dialogue and diplomacy. The world must act urgently and decisively to rein in Israeli aggression. The alternative is a descent into all-out regional war that will not spare anyone, not even the self-assured powers stoking its flames.
