Revellers from all across India yesterday celebrated the advent of the new year in Goa but left behind tonnes of trash on our beautiful beaches. The beach shacks and hotels did roaring business , alcohol and music was in full flow and so was the garbage generated by such ‘spirited’ boisterous festivities.
The less said about the deafening sound levels at year end parties the better. Goa should seriously tweak it’s tourism policy and focus on quality high end visitors rather than the ones who come to our beautiful state with a ‘sab chulta hai Goa mein’ attitude. Who needs a dirty start to 2024...certainly not us niz Goenkars.
