Treat state-run primary schools on par with govt-aided schools

While the state government has been preoccupied with ensuring facilities to the IIT proposed at Cotarli-Sanguem, it appears to have forgotten about ensuring facilities to another educational institution in another part of Sanguem. It is understood that a local youth from the village has become a de facto teacher and has begun classes at the school for free. The primary school in Uguem Sanguem has reportedly been functioning without a teacher for over two weeks. It is learnt that in Pernem students quit due to lack of school buses in government primary schools which has forced teachers to become drivers. A major grouse of parents has been the absence of school transport for their tiny tots. It is understood that teachers have switched to multi-tasking. One of the teachers reportedly travels house-to-house, picking up her students just so that they can attend school. When classes end, she drops them back home safely in her vehicle.  It seems prudent for the government to treat all state-run primary schools on par with government aided schools as far as the facilities available are concerned.
