The world uses millions and millions of televisions, computers and billions of smart phones that consume electricity that in many parts of the world are generated by coal power plants. If we only manage to power these devices solely by solar energy, a huge quantity of greenhouse gases being generated by coal power plants could be prevented and climate change could be controlled to a greater extent. Hundreds of thousands of megawatts of energy is used for powering these three devices that make up a huge energy consumption that could be switched over to only solar power in all parts of the world where ample sunlight can be harnessed to power these devices along with others. Can you imagine the amount of solar energy, which is recyclable as well as free of polluting greenhouse gases that can be saved by merely back lighting all these devices? Also as solar energy comes into use in larger quantity, the photo voltaic solar panels will reduce in cost drastically and the earth will become a better place to live in, more importantly a healthier place to live in.
