I am writing to draw attention of the authorities to a serious issue regarding the public water supply system in Panaji and other areas of Goa. There are multiple instances where the water pipelines are cracked and broken, which becomes evident when the water supply is released. This situation is leading to a significant wastage of our precious water resources and poses a risk of contamination to the water supply. With the upcoming road hot-mixing works in our Smart City, these leakages could also result in further cracks and damage to the roads. I urge the water supply department to take immediate action to identify and repair these leakage points to prevent further damage and waste. I also request the general public to assist in this effort by reporting such issues through photographs and videos to bring them to the notice of the authorities. Let us work together to ensure a reliable and safe water supply for our people.
