Why are outside political parties queuing up to contest in Goa? Note, that these are as yet not national parties! Obviously, these parties feel they can be elected in Goa! Why? Because they have seen and analyzed the local politicians, both minor and major. 90 lakh tourists visit Goa with a population of 15 lakh and find they can do anything they like! Even in the deadly months of April/May 2021! They can label Goa at their will: Casino Capital of India, etc. They listen to the ‘wisdom’ of the likes of the Lobos and the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and other MLAs who voice their views daily, and conclude: why not take over?
On the national level, late Manohar Parrikar, when he was the Defence Minister, was labelled as a loose cannon! And the recent speech of TMC MP Luizinho Faleiro in the Rajya Sabha, which was so irrelevant to Zero hour, that the same was not even recorded! It was like raising a wedding toast at a funeral! Is this not fertile land for outside parties? Where has the concept of Goenkarponn gone? Who has sold it?
