Not going to war but seeking votes for it

Indira Gandhi cleaved Pakistan in two in the 1971 war but didn’t politicise India’s victory and seek votes on that account. Similarly Atal Bihari Vajpayee who won a decisive battle against Pakistan in Kargil didn’t go to town tomtomming the fact to beg for votes. In contrast Narendra Modi, who didn’t go to war (forget winning it), looked the other way when the Chinese entered Galwan and captured Indian territory, accepted American intervention during the clash wirh Pakistan and let it announce ceasefire on behalf of India, is organising his own parades, going around the country flashing victory signs and is shamelessly taking credit for a war fought by our defence forces. The narcissism and megalomania is a form of psychological compensation for his massive inferiority complex (note how he denigrates a global statesman like Nehru at every given opportunity) and a criminal waste of taxpayer's money. India, has no dearth of competent, erudite politicians and intelligent leaders, no dearth of men of honour and humility...so why him ?? Shame on the opposition parties too who have allowed him to set the narrative for perpetuity.
