It’s been four decades since The Gipsy Kings burst onto the scene with their wild & ecstatic Spanish rumba. No one has followed in their footsteps…until now. Gypsy Sound Revolution travels the Silk Road of music to celebrate gypsy migration out of Rajasthan in Northern India.

The sound is exotic and electrifying; the musicians are passionate and exceptional. Gypsy Sound Revolution has taken the raw nomadic rhythms that trace gypsy culture 1500 years ago to the original Gypsy tribe of Rajasthan, India, featuring musicians from the Manganiyar clan Manjoor (co-creator of Manganiyar Seduction), Nehru and Dilawar Khan.

The result- a sound evolution of the magnificent Spanish rumba, invoking the divine through music, bringing the spectacular Indo-Gypsy fusion of GSR Catch former Gipsy Kings drummer Cedric Leonardi and fellow Gipsy Kings alumni Mario and George Reyes (son of Gipsy Kings founder Nicholas Reyes) with their band ‘Gypsy Sound Revolution’ at the Sol de Goa, Nerul on May 26.
