Spread over 211 sq kilometres, the wildlife sanctuary is a treasure trove of jungle trails, water falls, flora and fauna. The wildlife sanctuary is one of the several sanctuaries housed in the state's fringe areas. There are very few things more fulfilling than a trek to a waterfall, where the gushing water can pound off the stress and worries from your head and the shoulder blades. There are a couple of beautiful waterfalls like the Savari waterfall and the Mainapi waterfall to which you can plan your trek to. If you opt for a guided tour with the help of the wildlife department at the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, there are other wild gems which are worth the while.
The Netravali Wildlife sanctuary is known for a wide range of wildlife like black panther, giant squirrel, slender loris, great pied hornbills, etc. The best time to visit the sanctuary is between the months of October to March.
