Simryn Gill's work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the Gent Fine Art Museum, (2016) CCA Singapore (2015), Museum of Modern Art, New York (2014); Australian Pavilion, 55th Venice Biennale (2013); dOCUMENTA 13 (2012) etc. Her work Forest is a photographic record of incorporating excerpts from and other popular household books within the leaves, fruits and roots of plants and trees. Subjected to the elements and digested by birds, insects and fungi, the pages were gradually absorbed into the ecosystem.
