British actress Emily Blunt is in talks to portray beloved nanny Mary Poppins in a planned sequel to Julie Andrews' Disney movie musical. However, the deal has yet to be finalised due to scheduling as Blunt is expecting her second child with husband John Krasinski. Studio bosses recently announced plans to give the character a revamp in a new film, to be directed by Chicago filmmaker Rob Marshall, with a story set 20 years after Andrews' classic 1964 musical.The new instalment will be adapted from author P.L. Travers' children's book series, and will feature Mary's other adventures with the Banks family, who hire her as a nanny.
