Like a whole load of other delicious cuisines out there, Goan cuisine too has a unique flavour of it's own. And in a bid to take this distinctive taste to the world, The Goan Culinary Club is all set to organise the first ever Goan Chefs Conclave 2016 on July 19 at Vivanta by Taj Fort Aguada. The conference which will be inaugurated by Governor of Goa Dr Mridula Sinha will include sessions filled with learning as celebrity chefs from Goa and beyond will share as well as creatively demonstrate the use of Goan ingredients for their commercial kitchens. Some of the chefs who will display their culinary talents include Chef Gurpreet Singh Gehdu, who has conceptualised a new brand American Tadoor recently and will be working his magic on the Goan Tandoori specialty, Jenva Talwar of The Artful Baker who will be giving a twist to the dodol, home chef Shipra Misra, Chef Sadik Khan and our very own Chef Urbano Rego. In an interesting addition Sangam Pai Dhungat of the Voltaire restaurant will be sharing ancient recipes of Hindu Goan food using Goan monsoon vegetables. Apart from this Goan musician Varun Carvalho will give his take on marrying music with food while Nolan Macarenhas will share the skills required in showcasing the art and creative posts through photographic styling and networking.Fatima Gracias, Amita Salatry, Odette Mascarenhas and Anjali Walawalker will also take a walk down memory lane in Goan cuisine.
