Friends or foes?

On the day that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the trailer of his new movie popped up on YouTube. Allied is the story of an intelligence spy, played by Pitt, who meets a French resistance fighter, played by the extremely beautiful Marion Cotillard. They slay many Nazis, celebrate in a sandstorm (where would one find a sandstorm in Germany?) and then move to London and get married. Simple enough story, right? No really. Pitt gets called to Allied HQ, where he’s informed that they have intercepted enemy chatter. Apparently, there’s something rotten in the state of Denmark, or in this case, Marion Cotillard’s character Marianne. No one knows what it is, but since this is during the World War and there are spies abound. We’ll never know what happens until a new trailer appears or we finally watch the movie at the end of November. We’ll also never really know if Pitt and Cotillard really had an affair but let’s not allow that to change our view of the movie. One thing’s for sure, Allied will surely have more watches now.
