Singer Kelly Clarkson also joined the league of celebrities turned authors recently when she wrote River Rose and the Magical Lullaby which has been inspired by her travels with 19-month-old daughter River Rose. “It’s always kind of a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter when we’re going on trips to the U.K. and Asia and Australia “ all these amazing places that she was too little to remember,” revealed Kelly. “I started writing down these little fun stories, like when she went to Australia and got to hang out with some kangaroos… These little stories ended up turning into a book.”
Hugh Laurie
Rather than using his celebrity status to land him a book deal and get him an instant fan following, House star Hugh Laurie was adamant that his work should be accepted based on merit only and submitted his manuscript for The Gun Seller in 1995 under a pseudonym. The book has since been translated into multiple languages and has gone on to become a best-seller all around the world.

The Emmy award-winning comedian who is known for co-writing on The Office, Extras and Life's Too Short also wrote a series of children's book beginnig with Flanimals, a colourful picture book documenting the strange and troubling life-cycles of creatures on a distant planet.

But the former Playboy model is also a published author having released her first book, Star in 2004 about Esther Wood Leigh, a beautiful 21-year-old who is vaulted into stardom when she's discovered at a football game. She truly is the queen. Mega superstar Madonna wrote The English Roses series about rivalry and friendship among schoolgirls in contemporary London. Madonna's daughter Lourdes is said to be the inspiration behind the books.

While she first began as a columnist in a daily newspaper, her funny take on life earned her much acclaim and Twinkle went on to release a book titled Mrs Funnybones. Recently it has been revealed that she is now all set to release a children's book titled The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad.
