Alila Diwa Goa ushered in the festive season at a small celebration for its guests held recently at the resorts premises. As in the past, this year too, in an effort to make Christmas fun for the planet, all decorations around the resort were made from waste materials like plastic, discarded CD’s, paper and cardboard. Children and guests cheered around the 17 tier, 14 ft high tree made from 4005 discarded mineral water bottles that stood tall in the main courtyard. Platters of tasty bites and glasses of warm mulled wine did the rounds as melodious carols by The Cotta Family and the resort’s in-house team filled the air. Santa made his appearance on a Royal Enfield to the delight of kids and guests alike. He spent the rest of the evenings distributing sweets and wishing the guests a wonderful festive season ahead.
