As part of an assignment, students of the second year BBA and the environment, (Ecotiva) club of Don Bosco College Panaji, organized a one day ‘Zadachem Fest’ recently.
The fest was inaugurated by Fr Aven Carvello and Cedric Silvera . They were welcomed with traditional drinks of Kokum and Nirav. A display and sale of medicinal plants was also held to depict the importance on natural remedies and importance of the same. Kenan Vaz, student of second year BSC, Dhempe college was invited to display his collection of 60 specimens which included a variety of insects and snakes too.
Famous Goan delicacies like raw mangoes, mangade, banana flower, sweet potatoes, cashews etc. were showcased to instil knowledge on state tastes.
The event concluded with an enthusiastic and mouthwatering interclass salad making competition. First year BBA T&T stood first while first year BBA were the runners up.
The main motive of this event was to highlight the flaura and fauna which that are on the verge of extinction and also to display some Goan Traditional food and plant products.
