Don Bosco College, department of Social Work has celebrated International Day of Older Persons recently at Missionary of Charity Mother Teresa Home, Panaji.
Social Work students have organized various joyous activities for female senior citizens of Mother Teresa Home on this special day for senior citizens. Programme was begun with lighting the lamp and garlanding of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by senior citizens of home, home in charge, coordinator of department of Social Work and Social Work students. Students of Social Work shared love and smile with senior citizens. Students have organized passing the ball activity for theme in which all the senior citizens participated with enthusiastically. Some of them energetically sang the songs, danced and expressed their feelings. Students also sang a song with them. At the end of programme all the senior citizens cut the cake and gave blesses to all students for success in all stages of their life. Refreshment and food also served to all senior citizens by social work students.
BSW and MSW students of department of Social Work, Don Bosco College, Panaji have taken efforts to organize programme to mark the International Day of Older Persons.
