Western movies are a passion for many, where cowboys and horses abound, along with Red Indians

and herds of cattle with their horns bouncing and bobbing about as the cowboy on horseback herds

them to a cattle town.

For those who would have loved to indulge in a spot of horse riding, but have had no opportunity to,

stop moping.

A venture called ‘Peace Valley’ in South Goa’s Quepem area has started a horse riding facility which allows couples a day-long guided horse riding tour. Promoted by Sanatan Group of companies, the facility boasts of a horse riding club and stables on grounds, which are managed professionals with experience in managing horses and stables. It is located in the wilds of Sirvoi, in Quepem sub district which is around 50 kms from Panaji.

The horse riding routine involves a pick up at 8:30 am, a welcome drink, meeting up with horses and caring for them for a bit, before hopping on to one and riding the beast for a couple of hours. And another spell of riding after lunch break.
