Huawei is all set to offer consumers alternatives to the failed Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and has confirmed a launch event for November 3 for two premium smartphones - Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro. While the Mate 9 Pro will be exclusive to China, Mate 9 will be available internationally. Both smartphones are expected to feature a same 5.9-inch display, a 4,000mAh battery, run Huawei's own Kirin 960 octa-core chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and up to 256GB storage and run Google's latest Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

On the camera front, there is going to be an impressive setup of 20MP+20MP dual cameras and an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies besides a fingerprint scanner for authentication.
