Come rain, come sunshine, Goans everywhere are going to be partying it out this weekend as the much awaited Sao Joao is here. While there’s tons of attractive options to choose from, Sao Joao 2018 by Elusive Nightlife promises to be one of the most exciting of the lot up North. The party which begins at 3 pm on June 24 at Bay 15, Odxel will be the fifth successive edition.
And this time around, the organisers are moving beyond sticking any one genre of music. Music after all, they state should not be limited by any particular genre or language. The party will see noted musician Knox Artiste performing Bollywood and English mashups along with his official DJ Mann. One of the most sought after and diverse musicians today, Knox has a knack of bringing something new to the table every time he hits the stage with his covers, mashups and original tracks. He has performed alongside some of world’s biggest musical talents such as Shaggy (Angel), Yo Yo Honey Singh, Badshah, Raftaar, Arijit Singh, Manj Musik, Nindy Kaur, Jaz Dhami, Neha Kakkar and many more.
Also taking the stage will be Italian sensation Candice Redding. Having shared the stage with industry sharks such as Martin Garrix, Sean Paul, Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Dash Berlin, Dyro, Dannic, Hardwell, Kygo and many more, Redding was recently roped in for the Amazon Prime Video Original - The Remix alongside Nucleya, Amit Trivedi, and Sunidhi Chauhan.
Other DJS who will be mixing it up include DJ Benz, Joshi, Jotesh, Jack Mathews, Deep, REONN, Dave, Rainman, Manfred etc. In addition to this, to amp up the fun quotient there will be a rain and foam dance and surprise gifts for best kopels.
If you’re heading down South, the Belo Sao Joao Beat Show should be on your list to check out. All set to be held at an all new venue Three Kings Way, Verna, celebrations begin at 12 noon on June 24. Hosted by The Moon, the event will be headlined by Julia Bliss. Siberia’s house music talent, Julia Bliss has carved herself a career as a DJ through relentless hard work and passion, starting at the age of 15. Today, Julia is an internationally recognised talent, whose taste for stripped back, sweat-on-the-ceiling dance music and her discerning ear for house music, possesses a growing production catalogue as she ascends among the electronic music ranks. Bliss has performed on the most prestigious platforms in India “ Sunburn, Supersonic, Mainstage Music festival. etc.
Other young and upcoming Goan DJs taking centrestage are Mark, Swizel, Blink, Lilrams, Joasch, Armaan, Clifford, Iyaz, Saunyk, Sanyo, Beatroots and Aestus. Apart from this, there will also be a rain dance to make it an even more exciting event.
