Jennifer Lawrence has said she never wants to stop working with writer-director David O Russell. At the Q&A for Joy, the actress described her third collaboration with the filmmaker as a tribute to "women who are the unsung heroes of their households" and added that she would do "anything with David until the day I die". Her Joy co-star Bradley Cooper also added that working with Russell is an automatic yes. According to Russel, Joy is loosely based on real-life inventor Joy Mangano and also stars Robert De Niro.
