With a smile on the face,
They head to the market place,
The vendor’s hands full of load,
They tread along the road.
They enter the stalls,
Quite unlike the cities malls,
Without the frills,
But abounding in thrills.
The buyers arrive,
And bargains thrive,
The day’s sales begin.
Amidst the noisy din.
Spices entice,
As customers come in droves,
Purchasing spices like cloves,
To cook food on their stoves.
In the next stall,
There’s fruit vegetable and all,
Apples Grapes and the pear,
The common banana everywhere.
We look forward to next Thursday,
The unique village of Assolna,
Plays host to the market bonanza.
