The True School of Music,India’s first comprehensive institute of contemporary music together with the Art Escape -The Live Music Project and Kala Academy is organising a free workshop for musicians and non-musicians to help them understand the inner workings of the music industry, it's opportunities and how one can make a career in it today on September 11, 6 pm at Kala Academy, Panaji. Ashutosh Phatak, composer, co-founder of the True School of Music and founding partner of BlueFrog, India’s definitive live music venue, will draw examples from his own illustrious career to explain to young musicians, what it takes to be a part of the music fraternity in India. Joining Mr Phatak is the co-founder of the True School and ex-CTO of BlueFrog, Nitin Chandy, one of India’s leading audio engineers, who will be shedding light on the opportunities for non-musicians in the music industry like audio engineering, sound designing, artist management, music publication and much more. The workshop will also explores the practical application of “Song Writing,” where Phatak will demonstrate how to score a TV Commercial, using a brief from the audience and Chandy will cover the topic on how to mix for TV.
