Fifty residents, staff and grandchildren from The Julia Wallace Retirement Village in New Zealand became internet sensations after their shot-for-shot recreation of 26-year-old pop star Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ music video went viral.

youngsters' pranced around the grounds, performed Swan Lake-inspired moves and grooved together in the foyer of the home. According to description, the average age of the leopard print-clad performers in the video is 82 (a combined age of more than 4,000 years), proving that you're never too old to Shake It Off.

A spokesperson for the retirement home, who helped the residents create the video said, "Our residents do exercise classes and love music. They did a flash mob at a mall about a year ago and then did a nude calendar for charity ” they love doing different things. They liked the song because it could involve the staff and grand-kids as well. When they first saw the video they were a bit nervous but they soon got into it.”

Apparently, the 80-somethings even made the costumes themselves.

The residents spent almost a week making this special tribute to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off. Watch it if you are in need of a smile.
