“We recently put up two stalls at a similar bazaar in Margao and were inspired to bring this to to the Panaji crowd too. Plus this is a a great way to provide a platform for people who are into creative stuff and help them earn recognition,” says Bhakti Hirani who together with Natasha Parekh are the brains behind this fun event.
“ It's a great platform for exposure and to earn a little more by making and selling what you love to do. Also, it's great to see a new generation of artists being part of this,” agrees Malcolm Rebello, who will be a part of two stalls at the event- Icescrewd, a recently launched brand which sells funky products and the Seesaw Art Store along with artist Danica Da Silva Pereira of YetAnother by Danica. “ We also get a chance to mingle with like minded people and create a community of sorts which helps both personally and professionally,” pips in Danica, adding that Goa needs more of such events as there is a lot of hidden talent around. “ People who work hard for what they love, need such opportunities for support,” she asserts.
“ The creative collaboration pushes one to do even better considering the level of competition around. So such bazaars are like windows through which we can peep at the world before plunging into it,”state the Loundo Family who will be bringing to to you trendy home deco like vases, coasters, magnets etc through their brand Para ti ( For You). “ New artists can't possible arrange an exhibition for themselves so these bazaars help in this way,” says Reonilda Pereira of The Junkyard, which she describes as her own little yard of handcrafted things including canvas paintings, book ends, handmade bags etc.

The monsoon flea market will have 82 stalls in all apart from some great music and food alongside it. Akshit Shetty and Allie Marc of the Deeper Goa project will be spinning some cool tracks in the morning half while Lemongrass will be out busking in the evening.
