Devann Parab and Aniket Kanolkar of Goa University bagged the top spot at the recently held 7th Adv Arun Singbal quiz competition organised by Konkani Bhasha Mandal in association with Goa College of Enginnering, Farmagudi, Ponda.
The second prize was won by Harsh Hegde and Sahil Ramchandani of National Institute of Technology. Purva Vast and Anjali Naik of GVM’s Dada Vaidya College of Education won the third prize whereas Ankita Arolkar and Alpheus Fernandes of Nirmala Institute of Education won the fourth prize at the competition.
A total of 45 teams took part in the competition which was coordinated by Quiz master Swetang Naik and Suraj Kamat with able support from Chandrakant Kudchadkar.
The competition was inaugurated by Dr Krupashankar M S, principal of Goa College of Engineering whereas Gurudas Desai, deputy collector, North was the chief guest at the concluding function. Desai congratulated Konkani Bhasha Mandal and its team of dedicated work for conducting several programs throughout the state and keeping the flag of Konkani flying high. Also present on the occasion were Chetan Acharya, president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Adv Deepa Singbal and Prof Gajesh Usgaonkar.
