Ravindra Bhavan Baina announces line up

The executive members of the Ravindra Bhavan Baina at a press briefing gave details of the programmes that will be held in August at Ravindra Bhavan, Baina.


Speaking to the press, Chairman of the Ravindra Bhavan Committee, Sanjay Satardekar said that the Ravindra Bhavan Baina will organise a patriotic songs solo singing competition for the high school students ( V to X) of Mormugao Taluka on August 14, at Ravindra Bhavan Baina as part of the Independent Day celebrations.
Only one participant from all schools will be allotted time of 4 to 6 minutes to perform patriotic songs in Hindi, Konkani or Marathi. Participants will have to compulsorily attend the practice session to be held on August 12 between 9 am to 1 pm failing which the participants will be disqualified, said Sanjay Satrdekar.
The prizes for the winners of patriotic solo singing competition will be as follows:
First prize of Rs 3000 plus certificate and trophy.
Second prize will be Rs 2500 plus trophy and certificate.
Third prize will be Rs 2000 plus trophy and certificate.
Besides this 2 consolation prizes of Rs 1000 along with certificates will also be given. All the participants will be given participation certificates.
The Ravindra Bhavan Baina will also organise it's 3rd annual free musical show "Tum Mujhe Yu Bhula Na Paoge" as a tribute to Mohammed Rafi on his 37th death anniversary.
The highlight of this evening will be the performance of renowned artist Anil Bajpai who has been enthralling audiences with rendition of Mohd Rafi songs in India and abroad.
He will be accompanied by renowned Goan singers and the background music will be provided by Vishnu Shirodkar and troupe.
Ravindra Bhavan Baina will organise a lecture demonstration on Veer Savarkar on August 6. The famous television and film actor Sharad Ponkshe will be delivering a lecture on Veer Sawarkar with his luminous speaking expertise.
"We recently celebrated the birth anniversary of Late Veer Sawarkar and it is a proud privilege​ to Ravindra Bhavan Baina for naming the main auditorium in the memory of India's pro-Independence activist, lawyer, politician, writer and playwright," Satardekar said.
Seen on the dais were Sanjay Satardekar (chairman), Dr Dharmendra Prabhudessai (Vice Chairman) along with Prevesh Amonkar, Noela Rodrigues, Prasad Prabhugaonkar, Sudesh Bhosle, Santosh Naik and Uday Phadte who are executive council members of the Ravindra Bhavan Committee.
