There is enough discourse on how and why our youth are not reading as they used to. In today’s digital environment, however, reading involves multiple platforms. So they’re still reading and writing, just not always in the traditional ‘book’ way

Saying I love reading would be an understatement. Reading is something that has kept me going since my childhood. We didn't watch much TV, just read and read and then read some more. Even today, give me a good book and I won't look at you till I'm done with it. I love reading everything except Indian authors because they have a very local small town way of putting things like it's neighborhood gossip. And then there's the other extreme that's so prosaic and dry. Right now I am reading 'Roots' by Alex Haley and 'The comfort of Saturdays' by Alexander McCall Smith. I also have e-books on my phone in case I am stranded somewhere without a book. Plus I love browsing the internet especially Wikipedia. I can go from the endangered blue sheep to guitar riffs to the Illuminati

I don't have the patience to read books. But when I have nothing to do I read stuff online, mostly news and stuff or about football matches. There's just one site that I check mostly - Dailymail

I fall asleep when I read. I only read articles online if I have to read up for college, but I never make it through the entire article. I do write poetry and short pieces though.

I don't really have time for reading these days. I think the last book I read was 'Jane Eyre' and that too because it was part of the syllabus. But other than that I can't remember reading anything outside the syllabus...maybe 'Sherlock Holmes'. But I like scrolling through Instagram and going through quotes -Beau Taplin is really good. Other than that I think I only ever read forwards on WhatsApp or the college newsletter/magazine these days.

I read a lot of novels. Paulo Coelho mostly. What I love about reading it that it's intriguing, knowledge imparting, improves my vocabulary and keeps me entertained. Right now I'm reading '1000 kilograms of Goa' by Rohan Govenkar

I read specific books that I can connect with, usually adventure and something descriptive. One example of my all time favorite is 'My Family and Other Animals' by Gerald Durell because you feel like you are a part of his family. I guess I love books that reflect my life. Indian authors are very good at the family aspect in their stories. The book I last read was 'The House of Spirits' by Isabel Allende.

Reading brings out my imagination -its like you enter another world altogether. The last book I read was 'Life is what you make it' by Preeti Shenoy. Although I haven't read an ebook in a long time, I read articles online almost everyday. Psychology today.com and ted.com are two of my favorite sites.

I don’t read much at all. Just my college stuff because I’m forced to and the newspaper, usually on Sundays when I’m at home.
