Anticipation for xXx: Return of Xander Cage must be pretty high because the latest trailer reached a big viewer milestone ” and quicker than the last look at the new film.
Paramount revealed that the trailer, which Vin Diesel recently debuted over Facebook Live, surpassed 100 million views across multiple platforms in just two days.
The Diesel factor, of course, surely helped matters. Returning as extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage in the third film within the xXx saga under the direction of filmmaker D.J. Caruso, Diesel has been joined by Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, Kris Wu, Ruby Rose, Tony Jaa, and Nina Dobrev, Toni Collette, Rory McCann, and Samuel L. Jackson. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude,the film sure does seem to raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film. xXx: Return of Xander Cage hits theaters this on January 20.
