Photo Journalists Association Goa (PJAG) is organising a state leve Photography Contest for School students and General public .The prize distribution function and Exhibition will be held at Sanskruti Bhavan,Patto, Panaji on August 19 and 20, 2018 ,on the occasion of ‘ World Photography Day’ and PJAG annual function.

School level photo contest: (Theme : ‘Traditional Games’ ) All the students studying in the Secondary section (Class V-X) are eligible to participate in the school level photo contest . Top three entries will be awarded with the cash prize of Rs 4000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively along with the PJAG Trophy and Certificate.

General Category Photo Contest: (Theme: Known/Unknown Forts and Fortresses Of Goa ) Any individual can participate in general category photo competition. The winners will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 5000, Rs 4000 and Rs 3000 respectively along with the PJAG Trophy and Certificate. In addition to the awards for both categories, best twenty entries will be awarded participation certificates and the photographs will be displayed during the PJAG annual function at the Art Gallery of Sanskruti Bhavan,Patto, Panaji on August 19 and 20, 2018.

The rules and regulations are as follows: Each student/participant can submit maximum four photographs. The entries (soft copies) should be sent to [email protected]. The photograph can be clicked in digital or mobile cameras. Photos clicked using Drone cameras shall not be accepted. Last date for submission is August 4, 2018. In case of school students, name of the student and school with address, phone Number/email ID should be mentioned in the email for further communication. In the general category, all pictures should be accompanied with accurate captions written separately in English only and should have all the required details about the pictures. The pictures should be uploaded in JPEG format with high quality compression. The selected images will be used for high quality reproduction. The pictures should not have the name of the photographer, agency, or publication, or any other information. Only single exposure and single frame pictures will be accepted. Adjustments of color or conversion to grayscale that do not alter content are permitted. Copyright holders retain copyright of their work. For awarded pictures, copyright holders grant the Photo Journalists Association Goa unlimited non-exclusive use of high - resolution pictures for activities in all media, including social media, online and print, in relation to the contest, the exhibition, the yearbook, the public archive, and all promotional and educational activities for and under the auspices of the Photo Journalists Association Goa, without any remuneration being due.

The competition winners will be formally notified by e-mail, post or telephone not later than August 17, 2018. Judges decision will be final and no correspondence or claims will be entertained by the organisers.
