Great artistes write songs by instinct. But songwriting is also a craft which can be learnt too and many an established artistes have chosen this route to achieve immense success in their careers.
If you happen to possess decent language skills, it certainly isn’t an extremely tough task. And if writing songs was a deep-rooted secret desire you had harboured since you were a child, then here’s a great opportunity right here in Goa to fulfill this wish.
A songwriter's workshop is being organized in Arpora from 10 am to 12 noon on April 3, which should help you awaken or sharpen your songwriting skills. The best part about this workshop is that it is open to people of all ages.
The workshop is a novel initiative to help budding and aspiring songwriters choose a career in songwriting and to polish their existing songwriting skills. The workshop will be conducted by Cyril Fernandes who has over 100 original compositions and Carl de Souza who has written many original songs.
Topics on building a song with intros, verses, choruses, outros, etc, will be discussed. Other topics will include income through songwriting, intellectual property, etc.
Registration fee Rs. 100 on first come basis.
The retreat will be held at Foxes Retreat in Arpora.
