The Serendipity Arts Festival is back

 And it only gets bigger. Bringing an array of cultural forms, diverse visual arts projects and exclusive theatre productions, this year Serendipity brings together a larger network of Indian and international artists across more than 70 genres and mediums.
Announcing this in a press conference, Smriti Rajgarhia, director of Serendipity Arts Trust (SAF) hoped that the mix of projects will bring people from different genres to engage with others creating more awareness and interaction. "Serendipity Arts Festival has gained much attention in our first edition last year, and we have galvanised the arts to gather more momentum. We hope to see a larger gathering of audiences this year, especially considering that Goa, with its diverse culture and international audience is the perfect destination for such a display of the arts," said Smriti.
SAF will witness projects curated by eminent personalities like Lillete Dubey, Ranjit Barot, Shubha Mudgal, Prashant Panjiar and many more and is aiming at rebuilding and reviving India's diverse and varied legacy of the arts. "Viewing the success, it garnered last year, it is a testimony to the artists' efforts in bringing forward such an exclusive talent pool to a national platform," said Smriti.
Arts Spectrum Awards for five emerging artists will be given to support them in shaping their careers. The festival will be dispersed across nine indoor and outdoor locations in Panaji - ranging from historic Portuguese structures to modernist marvels, connecting people and art communities to the world. These will be within walking distance of each other and the festival will also provide transit/shuttle options. The venues are Adil Shah Palace, Captain of the Port Jetty, Bento Miguel PWD complex, Children's Park, Old GMC complex, ESG, Kala Academy, DB ground, Mandovi Promenade and Santa Monica Jetty.
Sharing that Serendipity has brought the Christmas gifts of Kashmir to Goa, wherein the people of Kashmir have crafted various objects on the theme of Christmas and which will be displayed in the festival, Smriti, pointed out that Serendipity will give an opportunity to Panaji to become a smart city. The urban interventions and public art projects will transform the city into a vibrant and open cultural space.
SAF will address issues such as arts, education, patronage, culture, interdisciplinary discourse and accessibility of the arts. The exhibitions and performances will be augmented by spaces for social and educational engagement
