Courtroom dramas are fun to watch, especially when it’s dramatic. In fact, one sees a lot of character interpretation during scenes, which bring out the best in the actors. If you can do a good courtroom drama, you can possibly act out almost anything. Anything other than a Salman Khan film. That’s because he just cannot act.
But enough Salman bashing for today. Let’s move on to the movie The Whole Truth, starring Keanu Reeves and Renee Zellweger. The plot is simple. Keanu Reeves plays a defense lawyer. He is representing a boy who killed his father and was caught near the body with fingerprints on the knife. So, this should be a clear cut case right? But no, why would a movie house ever do that? There’s something else at play here, with the deceased’s wife, played by a very intriguing looking Renee Zellweger. There are question marks about whether it was the mother who killed her husband and the son is protecting her. Keanu, of course, is a straight up lawyer who is not going to rock the boat, but there’s something sinister about the whole thing, and we’re not talking about how Renee Zellweger doesn’t look like Renee Zellweger.
