There's no denying that the wedding day is one of the most special days of one's life and choosing the perfect first dance tune is all important. But imagine if rather than having the assigned band play your favorite tune, the original singer behind the hit actually shows up! And that's exactly what happened to these lucky fans when these singers made a surprise entry!

Taylor Swift

Max Singer and Kenya Smith officially tied the knot in a hospital room so that the groom's mother would be able to witness her son's big day. The mother and son also danced to their favorite song, Taylor Swift's "Blank Space." After the passing away of the mum, the groom's sister in law contacted Taylor Swift to tell her about the loss of their family member and asked her to surprise the newlyweds at the wedding celebration. And the superstar turned up and sang a piano version of Blank Space. What's more she also brought a handmade gift!

Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw stunned a newly wed couple in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after he made a brief appearance and performed after father of the bride, David White managed to persuade him. The newlyweds and fellow guests were stunned when Tim stepped out onstage at the Vie venue dressed in a classic black tux, and serenaded them with a few songs, including fan favourite Live Like You Were Dying. One member of the wedding party posted footage of Tim's sing-along performance on Instagram and added the hashtag caption "#asgoodasitgets".

Usher

Usher also added wedding singer to his resume in July this year after joining a former American Idol contestant to serenade a pair of newlyweds. The Confessions hitmaker was a guest at Miami Heat basketball boss Nick Arison and Jenna Green's nuptials when the best man, Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun, requested the wedding band B. Random play an Usher track. The group, fronted by one-time Idol contestant and Usher backing singer Brandon Rogers, then encouraged the superstar to take over the mic, which he happily obliged, trading verses on Yeah!.

Ed Sheeran

The Thinking out Loud hitmaker is quite the mushball when it comes to weddings and has made quite a few wedding appearances. While in Sydney as part of his tour, Ed took time out to pop into a young Australian couple’s wedding and surprise them by playing their first dance Thinking out Loud. It was part of a stunt organised by radio show KIIS 1065, who decided to give the couple a wedding to remember. Kya’s mum had recently taken her own life, leaving the mum of two struggling emotionally to cope. The pair had planned to marry, but increasing costs had meant it couldn’t be a priority. But after what Kya had suffered, the radio show decided to throw them a lavish $60,000 wedding, wedding singer included. Ed also left the happy couple with some some parting advice. ‘Make lots of babies!’ he said.

Jon Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi also became a reluctant wedding singer recently when he was attending a friends wedding in Miami. The wedding band, led by local singer Lourdes Valentin, began singing "Living on a Prayer" and upon repeated urgings from the band and guest, the singer finally obliged in what was a pretty memorable event.

Gary Barlow

At the start of 2015, Gary Barlow announced that he would sing for three fans on their special day. Not surprisingly, he was immediately inundated with requests and led to him finally making his appearance at six of them. One of the many he performed at was all planned out secretly by the groom as a surpise for his wife Natalie Purkis. Natalie who had been a Take That fan since she was 11, together with her hubby had started a Twitter campaign to try and persuade the star to come to their wedding but was left crestfallen when she heard nothing. However unbeknown to her, fiance Martin had been in touch with Gary directly to organise his surprise appearance and Natalie was left gobsmacked when he made and appearance at the wedding reception and belted out his hit 'Rule the World'. In another instance Emily Alcorn also spent a whole year campaigning on Twitter to get Barlow to turn up for her best friend's wedding and even Gary even admitted that he had come across a lot of #getgary2louswedding signs whilst performing during shows. Amazingly, with a lot of help from people online, it actually worked! Gary unexpectedly turned up at Louise’s wedding, singing A Million Love Songs.
