Angered over the short sentence awarded to Stanford rapist, Brock Turner after he raped an unconscious woman, Snake Roth and Stephanie Franke have come up with a campaign to teach consent to young people and reduce sexual assault. The campaign seeks to highlight the message that if a person lies unconscious they cannot consent to sex. The team behind this, from Marc USA Chicago in partnership with Red Snake, placed dancers throughout Chicago. Each dancer pretended to sleep on a surface with a sign in front of them that said: “If I can’t say no, I can’t say yes.” The website too has a series of questions that are designed to teach young people about consent. These questions include “If someone consents to sex on one occasion, is that consent for any later occasions?”, and “If someone is overtly flirty, is that consent?”
