The constitution of the Congress Coordination Committee headed by Chairman Ramakant Khalap and Co-Chairman Reginaldbab Lourenco has thrown up a pertinent question within the Congress and outside: What role will GPCC Chief Girishbab Chodankar play in the Congress when the High Command has put in place the panel to oversee the membership and overhaul the organization. While there’s nothing on record to suggest that Girishbab has been relieved from the post, a section of Congressmen says the implied meaning of the High Command-appointed Committee is clear that the panel is empowered to oversee party matters, including appointment of a new party chief.
